You glow like a thousand moons
Scattering your mysteries
deep into the night.
Ancient tales of all those
who pass under your blooms.
Your faint scent, whisked away
by a gail-forced push
Before it can reach me.
You share a petal with my shoulder
But I don’t notice before it’s gone;
Up, up and away…
Joined the star circus
above the nightfall clouds.
Inspired by this blossom tree; glowing under street light, blowing in the wind on a chilly walk home.
